Style Guide on Buying a T-Shirt

Style and comfort, they say, don't go together. But with a cool T-shirt, it's possible to be both stylish and comfortable. Yet, how is it that some people take T-shirts for granted? Wearing cool T-shirts is the easiest and fastest way to style yourself on a casual day.

Here are some guidelines on how to buy T-shirts.

1. Never settle for a T-shirt that is not your size.

Ask any hardcore shopper and he'll tell you that stores don't really have standardized sizes. One store's medium size may not match another's medium size. So DO take your time to shop around.

How do you know it's the perfect size? Here's a tip.

- The arms should cover exactly half of your triceps.
- The length should extend only up to half of your pelvis.

2. Material is everything.

Nothing beats cotton. It absorbs sweat well so you don't smell.

3. Avoid loose t-shirts.

We're talking about style here, not just comfort. Loose T-shirts are so 1990's.

4. Have sweaty armpits? Don't buy dark t-shirts.

Or any color that makes it obvious. Instead, go for white shirts.

5. Always shop with the pants or shorts you'll want to pair the shirt with.

The right t-shirt extends up to half of your pants' zipper area.
