Nolan Ross Knows How to Add Color to Accentuate His Suits

In my previous post, I featured Pitbull as a classy man who can pull off bright suits. Now, it's time to feature another one who can pull off a more flamboyant look -- Nolan Ross.

Nolan Ross is a fictional character from the TV Series Revenge. His style can be difficult to pull off, but it can teach you a thing or two on how to add color to your suits.

Note how he cleverly uses polo shirts as an alternative to long sleeves. Plus, if you're into neckerchiefs, this is how it's done.

Neil Patrick Harris' Bad Tuxedo

Okay, at first glance, this is a good tuxedo. And I bet it's expensive.

But... here's my problem. It's not Neil Patrick Harris' size.

This tuxedo looks big, from the pads and the jacket down to the pants.

Thick or Sports Socks Plus Formal Shoes? No Way!

I've seen guys wearing thick or sports socks with their formal or office shoes / attire. The worst part is, some of these guys wear WHITE sports socks. Yes, white.

If you're one of them, change them to thinner ones and you'll look better.

Why?

Because first, they are made only to go with a pair of running shoes (and sometimes a pair of sneakers for a casual walk in the park). Second, whatever you do, they do not match with your formal shoes.

Look at this picture. Nice look but the Nike socks.

How to Rock Bright or Colorful Suits Like Pitbull

"But Pitbull is a music star," you may say.

Hear me out.

Before Pitbull was stylish and rocking it out with beautiful women like Shakira, he had his share of bad styling. One Google Images search is all it takes to pull out Pitbull circa 2005.

That said, you, too can rock bright and colorful suits even if you're not a superstar. Here are some tips.

1. Work out.
At least trim off those excess belly fats. You don't have to be buff.

2. Always pick a suit that perfectly matches your measurements.
You don't want to look like your shoulders are over-padded, or that your suit hides your fingers.

3. Wear a pair of cool shades.
"Cool" means "expensive."

4. Don't forget the shoes.
Cheap shoes destroy the whole look even if you're wearing an expensive suit.

5. Add a nice watch.

6. Don't forget to put on an undershirt.
This is true especially if you're real sweaty.

7. Last, walk with confidence.
